Systronix joins Sun Affinity Partner Program with demo of STEP.IR in Dallas Semiconductor booth at JavaOne 2000

Dallas Semiconductor graciously shared booth space at JavaOne 2000 to enable Systronix to demonstrate a prototype of the new STEP.IR sockets board which provides a wireless infrared (IrDA) interface to the TINI Java stik.

John Gage, Sun Chief Scientist, speaks before a capacity crowd of 8000+ at the Wednesday morning keynote address.

The Dallas Semiconductor booth at which STEP.IR was announced and demonstrated. A simple demo beamed "LED OFF" or "LED ON" from a Palm PDA to a STEP.IR. Many thanks to Jac Kersing whose last minute efforts made the demo a reality.

At the first-ever TINI User Group meeting, Tim Clark demonstrates a prototype of his hot tub controller which uses a STEP board along with TINI Java.
