Dallas Semiconductor Secure Micros are modules which include an 8051 CMOS controller, memory, clock & calendar ('T' suffix versions) with it's own crystal, watchdog timer, and lithium battery. Running at up to 16 MHz, all you need to add is a controller crystal and power.
