TINI needs 250 mA typical, at 5 volts +/- 5%
(i.e. 4.75 to 5.25 VDC). To this you should add some margin for
"maximum", say 50%, and any other power used by your
sockets board. Be conservative and allow for 5V at 500 mA.
Sockets boards with switching regulators
Some Systronix and Dallas sockets boards use
switching regulators. These efficiently convert a higher input
voltage to the regulated 5VDC needed by TINI. Always check the
manufacturer's data sheets to determine the required input voltage
and current for these regulators.
