Target Specification

Running at 11.0592 or 22.1184 MHz (firmware selectable), the DS80C390 controller executes many instructions at 5.5 MIPs. It also includes 32/16 bit math acceleration hardware. You'll have a 128 KBytes of flash code memory (512 KBytes optional) plus 128 KBytes of SRAM data memory. The 80C390 includes 4 KBytes of on-chip code or data SRAM. You also get two UARTs capable of up to 115.2 kbaud, RS232 on one port and RS232/485/RS422 on the other.

The low noise switching power supply can be fed from the CAN network or an external 6-24 VDC unregulated source. There's a MicroLan/iButton port, DS1820 temperature sensor, silicon serial number, SBX expansion, clock and calendar, and more. OEM390 accepts Intel HEX files over its RS232 serial port using the Systronix smart serial loader.

OEM390 was started, then tabled due to lack of demand. Recently we have seen a big increase in interest, so OEM390 is now scheduled for release late Q4 2000. The US Army will be one of the first customers! Email us a description of your company and application if you would like to be a beta tester.

OEM390 will be similar to uCAN2 shown above.
