TrackBot Hex Files FW 8
|
Hex files to update TrackBot's on-board Robot Area Network controllers, Firmware version 00.08, released 20080423. This release fixes a number of known issues and has been extensively tested. All TrackBots purchased prior to this date can benefit.
- You need an Atmel AVR programmer such as the AVRISP2 or Dragon to load these files into the TrackBot controllers.
- You can apply these files to as many TrackBots as you own - you don't need one download per robot
- We include batch files for use with the AVRISP2 and Dragon. You also need Atmel stk500.exe for the AVRSIP2 or AVRDUDE for the Dragon batch file. You can also manually load each HEX file with the application which came with the programmer.
- There are lots of other AVR programmers which will also load these HEX files. Feel free to use whatever you prefer.
- Start with the Power controller. Be sure TrackBot is turned on before attempting to update the controller! After updating you might need to remove the power enable jumper and replace it, then use the power button to turn on TrackBot again. It should beep and the four corner LEDs should blink periodically.
- Now program the Motor, Sensor and Cortex controllers.
- Please read the enclosed text file about changes in this revision
- Please read the ReadMe for important info about using the tagging memory. This is the first release to support it.
- Please read the enclosed Technical Reference and User Guide PDF for detailed programming instructions
- See sample code online in the java.net robotics community
