TrackBot-SPOT Cable (Systronix)

you solder the short end into the eDemo board.
- Or use the special round-pin header included in new SPOT kits. It mates nicely with this receptacle.
- Use between TrackBot and SunSPOTs which have
a 10x2 header installed in the eDemo board.
- Also use to connect SunSPOT eDemo to your own
external signals.
- This connector option is needed to connect the SPOT eDemo board 10x2 header (included here or in new SPOT kits, soldering required) to the matching TrackBot header. Alternatively, you can use the "SUN Original TrackBot-SPOT cable" available from Systronix. Read about using SPOT as the TrackBot application brain here.
- Extra 10x2 headers are available for use in 0.1-inch patterns on proto boards, etc. This enables using one cable on a number of SPOT targets.

- Use between TrackBot and SunSPOTs which have
a low-profile socket installed in the eDemo board.
- This connector option is for use ONLY if your SPOT eDemo board will have a special low-profile, screw-machined socket soldered into it. As a more rugged option we recommend using a pin header on the eDemo board along with the Systronix TrackBot-SPOT cable. Read about using SPOT as the TrackBot application brain here.

This adapts the common "Tamiya" connector to the much more compact 100-mil polarized connector of TrackBot. This enables you to charge TrackBot using an appropriate RC battery pack charger. One of these adapters comes with our chargers - you only need these as a spare, or to use your own 7.2V 1A max Tamiya-style NiMH battery charger.

USB Cable: A to Mini 5, short

- USB A to mini 5 conductor, 31 cm long
- Connects phones, hard disks and other devices to a PC.
- Provides operation and recharging power from TrackBot to SunSPOT or other USB powered Application Brain. (TrackBot's USB A provides power only, no data).
- Short 31 cm (12.2 inches) is ideal for TrackBot and other applications where a 1 meter cable gets in the way. This short length is insanely hard to find and costs more than then longer ones (go figure).
- Also compatible with other USB devices such as Motorola Razr phones, USB hard drives, and more. Short length is capable of sourcing enough current to power many low-power, portable USB 2.5-inch hard drives directly (without an external power adapter).
