Please read before ordering:

TrackBot firmware is in an alpha state, but the current release (see software updates) does include fully operational obstacle avoidance and cliff sensor support. To apply Firmware Updates (download at a low price, and apply to as many TrackBots as you own), you must have the ability to program the onboard AVR controllers (see Related Items). Also you will need a 7.2V 1A max R/C NiMH battery pack charger.

As soon as TrackBot firmware reaches the beta state (expected in late Feb) the introductory price will end. At the same time we will start an educational discount for TrackBot. The introductory price saves you more than the edu discount will - so order now for the best deal!

Please see this Application Brain page to help choose what you want for TrackBot's application processor.

How to put together a TrackBot order
  1. Pick TrackBot Basic, or a Starter Kit
  2. Select a battery charger, or use an R/C battery charger you already have with the Tamiya-to-TrackBot charging
  3. Pick an application brain such as JStamp, SunSPOT, or your favorite controller (anything with a 19.2 kbaud serial port). See this Application Brain page for some help
  4. Select any cables you might need, such as to a Sun SPOT, or a DB9 adapter to connect to a PC for debug use
  5. Select an AVR programmer so that you can apply TrackBot runtime code updates, and/or if you want to develop your own TrackBot sensor modules. You only need one programmer for any number of TrackBots.
  6. Choose any optional sensors such as Cliff Sensors
