Our mission is to deliver embedded control development systems of exceptional value.

Starting in 1998 we have shifted our focus to embedded Java, starting with Dallas TINI and now aJile-based native-execution systems. We think that embedded Java is the biggest news in the embedded market since C -- and that is over twenty years ago. Check out our JStamp, JStik, SaJe and TStik products. In the past we specialized in the 8051 family of 8-bit microcontrollers, and are particularly experienced with the Dallas 8051 supersets. In addition to the standard products you see on our site, we have developed numerous commercially successful systems (and some not-so-successful) which are in use around the world today. We've been in business since 1986 - long enough for many of our customers to have changed names more than once! Systronix is a privately held corporation.

Our product design and business philosophy - why we do what we do, the way we do.

We're engineers ourselves and we use a lot of tools, including our own products. Naturally, our opinions drive the design of our products. Being engineers we will always choose function over appearance, and build things a little better than the minimum requirement. Those are the kind of products we like to use ourselves! We also listen to what you tell us you want. In fact, some of our most successful products (DPB2, for example) were the result of specific customer requests.

There's nothing more frustrating than having a tool break, so we engineer our systems to be robust and reliable. We take pride in our work. We assume that your time is your most precious resource - we want our tools to make the most of it.

This is why all our boards have plenty of memory, and run at the top specified speed, with no wait states or other funny business. We figure if you are creating a new product you want your development system to do everything the controller will allow. This costs a bit more but we believe that, eventually, "you get what you pay for and pay for what you get". A 'bargain' product that fails or wastes your time is actually very expensive.

Product support starts with top-quality documentation, which includes this web site.

We realize our products aren't going to be the best choice for every application. If you give your business to one of our competitors, please consider us again in the future.

We're only human and occasionally we make mistakes. We'll always try to make it right if you bring it to our attention. Please let us know how we're doing.

Collectively, Systronix' employee's experience spans the development of the first commercial digital audio recording systems (at Soundstream), early optical recording technology development (at Digital Recording Corp), multi-microprocessor CPU design in 1982 (IBM, using 68000s), and numerous other technologies, most of which are now relics. We've created ASICs used in telecomm and high-end graphics systems.

As you might guess, we write a lot of Java code and still write a fair amount of 8051 assembly code. In the past we have written C and assembly code on the PC, 80X86, and 8051s. We built our own web and eCommerce sites.

Individually, our other interests span the range of beer brewing, alpaca raising and shearing, home renovation, raising children, whitewater kayaking and rafting, flying small aircraft, woodworking, camping, and so forth. The point of mentioning this is that if you have a special embedded control need, whether it's DNA replication, satellite communications, or aircraft ignition systems, it's probably not the strangest thing we've heard. So go ahead and give us a call!
